When sound waves are able to reflect from one hard surface to another in a room this increases the sound pressure in the room. The end result of increase sound pressure is loud noise.

By fitting these white acoustic panels to the ceiling or even the walls, when a sound wave impacts the surface of these acoustic foam panels the sound energy is absorbed and is unable to escape. This reduces the sound energy in the room and thus lowers overall noise levels and will also eliminate any echoes that may be present.
