Healthcare waiting rooms in most states of Australia are becoming increasingly busy
and in some cases patients and their family have to wait for long periods of time. In these
environments people often have long conversations with one another and children often run around bored and screaming. As the noise level rises people in these waiting rooms have to talk louder in order to be heard.
In order to keep the noise levels at an acceptable level so that staff behind the counter can communicate with the patients it is often necessary to fit sound deadening panels to the ceiling or walls.
